The Board of Education of Hamilton County School District No. 10 met in a special session on the evening of September 18, 2007, at 8:00 p.m., in the Unit Office.

The meeting was called to order by Board President John Ewald and Roll Call was as follows: Present – Danny Anselment, Steve Becker, Krystal Donelson, Randy Kirsch, Tom Maulding, Rodney Rubenacker and John Ewald. Motion carried.

Motion by Becker, second by Kirsch to enter in to executive session at 8:10 p.m. to conduct an expulsion hearing for a Jr. High School student due to a violation of the District’s discipline policy. Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Becker, Kirsch, Anselment, Donelson, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald. Motion carried.

Motion by Anselment, second by Rubenacker to come out of executive session at 9:25 p.m. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried. Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Anselment, Rubenacker, Becker, Donelson, Kirsch, Maulding and Ewald. Motion carried.

Motion by Maulding, second by Becker to approve the minutes from executive session. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

Motion by Anselment, second by Kirsch to approve action for Disciplinary Violations by Student A as follows: Social work counseling offered by the school District; Probation through completion of 8^th grade; Expulsion of 10 days to return on October 11, 2007; In-school suspension October 11^th and 12^th, 2007; Return to regular classes on October 15, 2007; and send homework home with no credit allowed for the two weeks of expulsion. Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Anselment, Kirsch, Becker, Donelson, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald. Motion carried.

Motion by Becker, second by Donelson to adjourn. Vote was taken by voice, motion carried, and the meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
